Tina Santi Flaherty
About Tina Santi Flaherty

Designated one of the original "Powerchicks", Tina Flaherty blazed new paths for women in business while still in her 20's. Described by Business Week as "one of America's top corporate women", she became the first female Vice-President at three of America's leading corporations: Colgate-Palmolive, GTE and Grey Advertising. Her primary responsibilities included corporate advertising, financial relations and public affairs.

A contributor to Town & Country, Cosmopolitan, Glamour, Marie Claire and Fortune magazines, Tina Flaherty has written two award-winning books- "The Savvy Woman's Success Bible", and "Talk your way to the Top", both published by Penguin Putnam. Her latest book. "What Jackie Taught Us: Lessons from the Remarkable Life of Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis" was released in the spring of 2004.

In 2000, Mrs. Flaherty was named by America's Elite as one of 100 Amazing Americans, along with such luminaries as President George W. Bush, Oprah Winfrey, and ABC-TV's Diane Sawyer. Additionally, her rapid rise to the top at a time when only a handful of women had climbed to the executive level was profiled in "Powerchicks", a book about some of America's most influential women. Mrs. Flaherty is also the recipient of an honorary degree from St. John's University. She is listed in Who's Who in America (since 1976) and is a member of the Committee of 200 and the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR).

A native of Memphis, Tennessee, she began her career there as a television co-host. She and her husband, William E. Flaherty, live with their five dogs, Liam, Ashleen, Shadow, Joe Firestone & Bailey in New York City, the Hamptons, Palm Beach and Pebble beach. Active in animal welfare, they established the Flaherty Learning Center at the Bronx Zoo and the Flaherty Oncology Laboratory at the Animal Medical Center in New York. Additionally, their joint love of wit and wisdom led to the establishment of the Flaherty Cultural Center at the Historic Oscar Wilde House in Dublin, Ireland.
